Cask Ale Week 2010

Over 8000 pubs will be helping celebrate Britain’s National Drink during Cask Ale Week 2010

Each year Cask Marque, with support from CAMRA, SIBA and IFBB, organises National Cask Ale Week to celebrate Britain’s National Drink.

From March 29th – 5th April the nation’s pubs will raise a glass to real ale to toast everything brilliant about beer.

If you’re a landlord, pub goer or ale virgin we have all the information you need to make this year bigger and better or take a look at what we got up to in 2009 for some inspiration.

Cask Marque stands for:
  • Excellence in the service of cask ale.
  • Awarded to the licensee rather than to the pub.
  • Jointly funded by brewers and retailers.
  • Inspections made twice a year.

  • “Good cellar management is the key to serving cask ales in their prime. Cask Marque will be invaluable to customers, retailers and brewers alike.” Paul Wells, Chairman, Independent Family Brewers of Britain

  • “Cask ale is the lynch-pin of our pub tradition and Cask Marque’s success will underwrite the future of both ale and pubs”. Nick Bish, Chief Executive, The Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers

Look out for the Cask Marque Plaque. This guarantees beer quality in the outlet and the opportunity to TRY BEFORE YOU BUY.
